
The latest addition to Fujifilm’s Instax camera line has been leaked, and it certainly has retro charm.press release, sharer fuji rumorsShowcasing the Fujifilm Instax SQ40, a camera whose design was inspired by Instax Mini 40 and combine it with the Instax square instant film format Instax SQ1 use.
The images show a black faux leather texture with silver effects on the lens and shutter button. We’re big fans of the Mini 40’s retro charm while preferring the larger Instax square film, so the SQ40 offers the best of both worlds.this may be one of them best instant cameraeven if it’s not as portable as the Mini 40.
The new camera will have auto-exposure for point-and-shoot simplicity, and a retractable lens that works the same way Fuji Instax Mini 12: Two shooting modes; standard and close-up, in the closed position, the lens is fully retracted.
Macro mode shortens the minimum focus distance so you can squeeze more of your subject into selfies and close-ups. For everything else, you can use the standard shooting modes.
Otherwise, details are scant, but we’ll be sure to give a full picture once we’ve received the official specs straight away.
Prices and release dates, plus the new ‘Sunset’ square movie
The Fujifilm Instax SQ40 has a suggested list price of $149.99 (around £130 / AU$250) and is expected to be available from the end of June 2023.
Alongside the launch of the SQ40, Fujifilm will also add a “Sunset” line to its Square film lineup, which the company says features soft color gradations “reminiscent of a tranquil sunset.”
The regular two-pack (2×10 sheets) of square color film is $24.99/£16.99/AU$34.95, with borders in different colors including the rainbow, and a monochrome version of the film (prices vary).
