Here’s what she asked:

“How do I sharpen a poor quality video someone else sent to my iPhone?”

Cathy, I know how frustrating this can be, especially since we want our iPhones to always give us super clear pictures and videos when we turn them on, because the camera quality is so high.

There’s a way to help prevent this from happening, and we’re going to show you how. When you receive video that looks blurry and low-quality, tell the sender to follow these simple tips too.

The 5 Best Tips to Improve Your Cell Phone Signal

Why are my videos blurry on my phone?

Attachment size limit

Blurry video usually has nothing to do with camera quality. It actually has to do with the phone’s ability to receive large files. Usually, when you send videos, especially longer ones, the videos are compressed due to the size limit of the attachment.

1) You can fix this by trimming the video and sending it into two shorter clips.

  • go photo album at the bottom
  • Scroll down a bit and select Film
  • click The video you want to trim

Are there any apps that can help sharpen video?

If you’re looking for an app to do the job for you, try something like PowerDirector. This app has an option to stabilize the video, which may sometimes be required for blurry videos if it’s not a resolution issue. The app offers a free trial followed by a monthly subscription for premium features. At launch, the app has over 4.6 and 4.4 stars in the Apple Store and Google Play Store, respectively.
