Of course, the atomic bomb is firmly enshrined in our history books, and we all know how it turned out – the US deployed destructive technology against Japan, successfully forcing Japan to surrender.
We got a sneak peek at Tom Conti as famed theoretical physicist Albert Einstein, who appears to be playing a role in the film — likely including a letter to then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt about Germany’s possible Letters to develop atomic weapons.
Christopher Nolan clearly has a special interest in this history, having released the blockbuster WWII film Dunkirk Back to 2017.For those still confused by the messy time-travel thriller purpose (2020) may breathe a sigh of relief that Nolan’s next film is back to earth — but either way, it’s going to be one of the best new movies of 2023.
