By now, you may have heard Chat GPT. It is a computer program developed by artificial intelligence lab OpenAI that simulates human conversation and provides helpful and informative responses.

You can ask it to write you anything from a romantic poem to a lover, or even a 500-word essay on the civil rights movement. Whatever answer you need, ChatGPT has it.

What browser extensions are available for ChatGPT?
The Chrome Web Store has a variety of ChatGPT extensions that you can download and start using right away. Here are some of the ones we tested.
Google ChatGPT: This extension can display ChatGPT responses next to your search engine results.

How to install Chrome extensions
You can follow the steps below:
important: You cannot add extensions when you are browsing in incognito mode or as a guest.
- Open Chrome Web Store
- Find and select the extension you want
- click Added to Chrome – Some extensions will let you know if they require certain permissions or data
- To approve, click the add extension
- To use the extension, click the icon to the right of the address bar

Are there any downsides to using these Chrome extensions?
These Chrome extensions are mainly for convenience and to help you personalize and customize how ChatGPT works. However, the biggest negative when using any browser extension is the risk of viruses and malware.
Many browser extensions have a high level of access to the user’s device, and if they are hacked, it can be a nightmare to deal with. Although extensions from official web stores like Chrome are mostly safe and reputable, be extra careful. Additionally, some extensions may slow down your browser or negatively affect its performance.
To minimize the risk of using Chrome extensions, we recommend that you only install extensions from reputable sources, such as the Chrome Web Store, and carefully check the permissions requested by each extension before installing.
