At one point a key popped up and sent me into the Apple store for support. They fixed it, but not without convincing. How to qualify for part of the $50 million
With just a few weeks until a claim is filed, it’s time to find out if you qualify for a piece of the settlement pie, and how sweet it is. Eligible consumers who bought MacBooks between 2015 and 2019 and had to replace the keyboard or keys could receive reimbursement ranging from $50 to $395, depending on the number of repairs required.
So, what did Apple do wrong? According to the lawsuit, customers reported problems with the Butterfly keyboard, including repeated characters, missing letters and unresponsive “sticky” keys. Despite complaints, the tech giant allegedly failed to replace faulty keyboards or recall computers, and only launched a repair program in 2018.

If you qualify, filing a claim is an easy process and the deadline is March 6, 2023 at 11:59pm PT, This settlement site. After that date, payments will be distributed following a final approval hearing on March 16, 2023. Keep in mind, however, that the process may be delayed by appeals.
