Does your home have backup power? We want to hear from you.
The systems that provide electricity to our homes are increasingly unreliable. Power outages are more frequent and last longer. More severe weather could make the problem worse.
As a result, many homeowners are investing in backup power systems. Some people buy large generators. Others have installed batteries to store energy generated by rooftop solar panels.
I cover the energy industry for The New York Times. My colleagues and I are working to better understand what Americans are doing to keep the lights on during blackouts.
Please share your story of the steps you have taken to ensure you and your family have power during natural disasters and grid issues.
The Times will not publish any part of your submission without first contacting you. We may use your contact information to follow up with you.
