Which apps should I remove?
The three problematic applications are Lucky Step-Walking Tracker, WalkingJoy and Lucky Habit: Health Trackers. Lucky Step and WalkingJoy have been removed from the Google Play Store. However, as of this writing, Lucky Habit is still online.
Each app is designed to help you track your steps and other habits, and they all connect to the same command-and-control server, according to experts at the software company Dr. Weber. These servers are often used by hackers to send instructions to systems infected with malware.
The three question apps are Lucky Step-Walking Tracker, WalkingJoy, and Lucky Habit: health tracker.

How do these apps trick the people who use them?
These apps promise you money for activities like walking more and watching more ads. The more activities you complete, the more rewards you earn, which can be exchanged for cash. However, these scam apps then update themselves so that your option to turn your rewards into cash is completely removed from your app.

Even if you provide your bank information to the app to get paid, the app can’t verify that info, so your chances of getting paid are slim to none. The more ads you watch, the more money the app developer makes, not the other way around.
How do I delete apps from my Android?
- go to Home screen or app drawer
- find apps do you want to delete
- press and hold application icon
- Drag the application icon to “Uninstall” or “Delete/Remove” options
- confirm Action/Uninstall.
