The S23 Ultra, in particular, looks like it’s not only getting a higher-resolution camera than its predecessor, but three additional key upgrades over the S22 Ultra that writer James Rogerson featured.

First, how about a powerful new chipset?

As Samsung fans spotted on SamMobile earlier this month, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will feature a new main camera with the same 50MP resolution as last year’s model. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will ditch its predecessor’s 108MP sensor in favor of a new main camera at an impressive 200MP.

Not only that, but the new device will also shoot RAW photos at up to 50MP, up from the previous 12MP limit. We’ve also heard about a feature that will help the camera capture hyper-lapse videos of the sky.

Camera editor Tim Coleman seems to think we should look beyond the 200MP figure when it comes to the S23 Ultra’s camera, saying, “It’s not just a gimmick” “.

If there’s one thing that’s become abundantly clear over the past few weeks of leaks, it’s that the S23 generation’s cameras aren’t messing around. This official video released by Samsung less than ten days ago highlights the low-light capture capabilities of the new phone.

“Epic nights are coming” might seem a bit ambiguous as a tagline, but we already know why that might be the focal point of the Galaxy S23 camera experience.

An interesting tidbit that emerged from the rumors is that no matter which Galaxy S model you choose, every Galaxy S23 buyer will have equal access to color options. Whether you’re shopping for an entry-level device or a Galaxy S23 Ultra, you can show off Samsung’s unique colors.

We’re expecting some interesting shades to accompany Samsung’s fun color branding. Mist lilac or botanical green might be your go-to shades this season, whether you opt for the mysterious mid-level Galaxy S23 Plus or any other new phone.

We’re also expecting accessories to match the new colors, though we haven’t heard of new devices like earbuds for this year.

James Rogerson even provided an in-depth summary of all the expected Galaxy S23 colors, including speculative renders of what each color might look like on different models.

which one is your favourite? Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with cotton flower colors.

As Samsung fans already know well, we expect three members of the Galaxy S23 family to arrive on February 1: the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The leaked image of the dummy unit you see above (source: Sonny Dickson) echoes other leaks and rumors about Samsung’s design direction for this generation. Each device is strikingly similar in form to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Standard and Plus versions of this year’s S23 appear to be ditching the contour cut camera modules of the previous two generations of Galaxy S phones in favor of something sleeker and sharper.

TechRadar’s Editor-in-Chief Marc McLaren digs into the differences between the three expected models in our Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra comparison feature.
