Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with Ava Labs, the company behind Avalanche, to bring blockchain to more businesses, institutions and government agencies.
Speaking of technology crisis (opens in a new tab)AWS VP and Global Startups Lead Howard Wright explained that “web3 and blockchain are inevitable,” and while it’s hard to guess when it will become commonplace, Wright said “the pace seems to be picking up, and we’re very Excited to be a part of it. “
John Wu, president of Ava Labs, believes that the “ease and access” that will be unlocked through the partnership will only accelerate adoption.
AWS and Avalanche
“We have more than 500 applications on-chain, and we’d love to give them a better experience, and now that we have real partnerships, we can directly participate in the Activate program,” Wu noted.
The collaboration aims to make it easier for individuals to launch and manage nodes on Avalanche. It should also see increased network strength and flexibility for developers.
From Ava Labs’ perspective, the agreement also signifies its participation in AWS Activate, a program that promises to provide tools, resources, content and expert support to accelerate the growth of startups.
It will also be a member of the AWS Partner Network, which Wright hopes will be “the jet fuel of blockchain and encryption, democratizing access to every corner of the world.”
Wu explained that this move is expected to place the Amazon division in the future, as the key demographic is no longer just “hardcore Web3 people.” This space is now open to developers and entrepreneurs from Web2 to Web3.
Amazon is not the only company actively developing blockchain-related technologies. At the end of 2022, Google Cloud endorsed Solana’s blockchain node engine, which aims to help simplify Web3 product development by providing fully managed nodes.
