  • Type a message with three or fewer emoji in the message box
  • Touch and hold the send arrow, then tap the screen
  • Swipe left to view full screen effect

  • Open the iMessage app and tap the compose icon in the upper right corner to start a new message or go to an existing conversation
  • Click the camera icon to the left of the text box. You are about to add effects to photos taken with the front or rear camera.
  • Click on the effect icon (it looks like a star in the lower left corner of the screen) and choose an effect option
  • Once you’ve selected the effect you want to use, click the big white button on the bottom row to take a photo
  • Press the blue send arrow in the lower right corner and add your personal information before sending.

  • If you screw up and need to restart, just hit undo
