Phone battery low?

Whether using iPhone or Android, there are ways to alleviate this problem.

Apple has some tips on its website that iPhone users can use.

update to the latest software

Make sure your device is using the latest version of iOS by going to Settings, General, and Software Update.

Optimize iPhone settings

Dim the screen brightness by opening Control Center and toggling the Brightness slider. Alternatively, go to Settings, Accessibility, tap Display & Text Size and turn on Auto Brightness.

Additionally, a Wi‑Fi connection uses less battery than a cellular network when you use your device to access data. Turn on Wi‑Fi by going to Settings, then Wi‑Fi to access Wi‑Fi networks.

Enable low power mode

Low Power Mode, introduced with iOS 9, is an easy way to extend your iPhone’s battery life. Enable it by going to Settings and then Battery.

Low battery mode will automatically turn off when the phone is charged again.

View battery usage information

Manage your device’s battery life by monitoring what percentage of each app is using, including background activity, location and background location, home and lock screens, and absence of cell coverage and low signal.

To check usage, go to Settings, then to Battery.

Other power adapters and chargers may charge slowly or not at all, and may damage your Android device and its battery.

Avoid situations where your phone overheats

Batteries drain faster at high temperatures – even when not in use.

“You don’t need to tell your phone’s battery capacity by going from full to zero, or from zero to full. We recommend that you occasionally drain the battery below 10 percent and then fully charge it overnight,” Android said.
