If you’ve been dying for more Ragnarok news, the latest State of Play demo might satisfy your appetite.
We’ve been dying to play Ragnarok since the sequel trailer at the end of 2018’s God of War. It’s easily one of our most anticipated PS5 games. Just a few months away from its November 9 release, Sony has released a new story trailer.
While the action-packed trailer showcases the growing tension between Kratos and his son Atreus, we also get a better look at Fenrir, who appears to be the godly companion. A trailer released in July suggested they would be battling giant wolves, but this new trailer teases a different relationship.
When we first saw the CG trailer, our editor Jules thought that developer Sony Santa Monica might have been playing with Norse mythology in Ragnarok. In those stories, Fenrir is Loki’s child and is supposed to be a friend of Atreus, but the video implies that the wolf is the enemy. This new trailer is closer to the lore.
exert absolute power
Shown alongside the new Ragnarok story trailer is a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller. The controller features the image of two wolves with lovely blue accents on the sides.
Ragnarok Limited Edition DualSense will be released with the game on November 9th. The DualSense Edge won’t be released until next year, which is a bit of a shame, because I’d love to see what Sony’s premium PS5 controller will look like. Love the amazing aesthetic.
