Privacy Tip: 5 Ways You’re Being Tracked You Must Stop Now

Start from the outside

It’s not hard to keep your phone clean with the right supplies and a little elbow grease. Put down the paper towels and follow these easy steps to clean the screen, ports, and case.

clean screen

First, remove the phone case and accessories. You want to reach every nook and cranny.

Microfiber cloths can wipe away smudges and grease, but I prefer screen cleaning wipes designed for smartphones. They are so easy. Skip the paper towels. They are too rough for such fine work.

I have purchased this Care Touch’s 210 Screen Cleaning Wipes again and again. Use them on smartphones, tablets, monitors, TVs and remote controls. They’re scratch-free, made with anti-static paper towels, and clean without streaks or lint.

don’t forget the port

Your phone’s ports collect dust, dirt, and grime. Avoid cotton swabs, which can leave fluff and make your situation worse than when you first started. A toothpick will work if you’re very gentle, but it’s easy to snap off the tip inside the port.

I prefer tools made for the job. It helps that these are cheap.

this Skylety 17 Piece Phone Cleaning Kit under $10. The kit includes an anti-static brush, nylon brush, cleaning cloth and dust removal film. You can use them to gently remove junk from the port.

scrub your case

If you put your phone in a case, I bet you’ll be shocked every time you take it off and see all the dirt that’s collected inside.you don’t need to be quite Be careful with your phone’s screen and ports.

For plastic, rubber, and silicone covers, grab an old toothbrush and a little warm, soapy water. Use a toothbrush to clean all nooks and crannies. Rinse thoroughly.

Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with water and mild soap for the holster. Gently wipe the casing in a circular motion.

After cleaning, allow your case to dry thoroughly before putting it back on. Need a case recommendation? I share some here, along with my favorite screen protectors. This saved me from hacking my iPhone multiple times.

Now that your phone looks polished on the outside, let’s take a look inside.
