According to the leaked audio, TikTok’s Chinese parent company has access to months of data on U.S. users, while U.S. employees themselves cannot.
The audio, obtained by BuzzFeed News, covers more than 80 internal meetings at TikTok between September 2021 and January 2022. This reportedly suggests that U.S. employees are not allowed to access user data, relying instead on Chinese employees to do so. buzzing.
