Instagram is rolling out new brand identity materials for users and influencers as part of a “visual refresh” it hopes will foster creativity across the platform’s various communities.
this refresh Divided into three parts: a brand new font for the app called Instagram Sans, a new layout and design system, and a new logo with moving gradient colors. Granted, it’s a bit confusing how users and creators use the mobile gradient logo, but it seems like a kind of beacon that gets more people to focus on the content.
eye-catching content
Speaking of being eye-catching, Instagram Sans was created for that purpose. This is the platform’s new global font, inspired by the Instagram logo itself. Instagram said it worked with experts to make sure the font works in all types of languages, including languages that don’t use alphabets like Japanese and Arabic. Instagram Sans features a circular pattern designed to evoke friendliness.you can play Instagram Sans on the platform website There you can view various subfonts such as Sans Script and Medium.
The new layout seems to break Instagram’s current design boundaries, creating borderless collages in portrait and landscape. With four layout options (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9), you can experiment and adjust as needed. And it’s not just limited to images, because you can include Reels videos and stories. Creators can also add product links to these layouts.
Instagram has a layout page There you can take a closer look at the feature. We asked Instagram users how to share these images and if they could be posted to their own accounts. Unfortunately, they never got back to us.
this move gradientAs mentioned, it’s just a beacon that you can find in various parts of Instagram. It can be found in Create Mode, circles around Instagram Stories, and stickers on Stories.
increase audience
We also asked Instagram when people can expect these features to roll out, and we were met with silence. It’s safe to say that this may all be part of Instagram’s plan to chase TikTok audiences.
The layout feature will be full-screen, and back in early May, the platform announced that it was testing a new vertical feed that would take up the entire display. Whether chasing TikTok is the way to go in the long run remains to be seen. Instagram’s new font and layout is certainly interesting, but it’s up to users to decide whether it’s worth keeping.
